Buddy Buie earned a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana, a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Systems Management from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Louisiana. He is a life-long educator with over thirty-five years of teaching experience in secondary education, adult education, ministerial education and military education systems. He is married to June Davis Buie and they have two sons – Christopher, married to Tina with three children, Keanan, Kaylin and Kolin, and Jay, married to Angel with two children, Gabriel and Mac. Dr. Buie is the grandson of the late Rev. Arthur T. Morgan, former UPCI general superintendent.
In addition to serving as Senior Pastor with congregations in Alabama, New York and Louisiana, Dr. Buie has served as the New York Metro District secretary and Home Missions director and as the Alabama District Sunday School director and Home Missions secretary. He has traveled extensively throughout the world teaching and preaching in national conferences, seminars and retreats. He was a military experimental test pilot having flown over 6,000 flight hours. He also served as the Director of Corporate Operations and Director of Corporate Acquisitions for WillStaff Worldwide, a national staffing company with $234M in annual revenues. Dr. Buie has extensive multi-disciplinary experience as an educator, corporate trainer and ordained UPCI minister.

Arlo E. Moehlenpah received a D.Sc. from Washington University and a Th.B. from Apostolic Bible Institute. Dr. Moehlenpah has had wide experience in teaching in both secular and Bible colleges. He served at Conquerors Bible College, Portland, OR, Gateway College of Evangelism, Florissant, MO, Christian Life College, Stockton, CA, and Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, MN, He has pastored two churches and written several books regarding Creation and Personal Finance. Jane E. Moehlenpah also graduated from Apostolic Bible Institute. Both are experienced, competent Bible teachers. They have taught teacher-training courses for over thirty years at Bible colleges and have conducted seminars at churches and conventions. Their former students are teaching in every continent except Antarctica. Together they have authored the book Teaching with Variety which is available in both English and Spanish..

Dr. Sidney L Poe earned the BS in Biological Sciences Education followed by MS in Zoology at Northwestern State Univ, LA and the Ph.D. at Univ of MO. Dr. Poe advanced to rank of Professor at the Univ of Fla, Gainesville and then assumed Professor and Head of Department at Virginina Tech Univerity gaining experience in teaching, administration and leader development in these instuitutions. He served as Dean of Students and Dean of Christian Eucation at Jackson College of Ministries, Jackson MS teaching a wide array of Bible and education classes in Bible colleges. He presently teaches Christian Ethics and Prophets along with Educational Psychology at Apostolic Bible Institite (ABI) in St Paul, MN and Honoring God’s Word at Apostolic Leadership Institute (ALI) in MA. For three years he taught an online course in Biological Sciences for Gateway College of Evangelism, Florissant, MO.
He has pastored two churches, a home missions church in Blacksburg, VA and the UPC church in Richland, MS . In the secular service Dr. Poe authored many scientific research papers, book chapters, and trained students at both the MS and PhD levels. He is author of the UPCI commentary “The Gospel according to Mark” and numerous chapters in books and Sunday school lessons for WAP. Administratively he served the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools, Division of Education (DOE) as Assistant Executive Director and wrote the guidelines and standards for Teacher Certification and School Accreditation for K-12 schools.
Presently he is a member of POA Alexandria serving Global Missions as a representative in curriculum development for the Global Association of Theological Studies and teaching in various capacities in Bible schools and districts. With Global Training Institute, of the FMD, he has facilitated teacher, pastor and leader training and taught Bible school courses in numerous countries around the world.
An experienced competent teacher and leader, Dr. Poe facilitates workshops in Real Colors (certified personality identification, NCTI) and Community Chaplaincy training and certification with the UPCI Division of Education. He has over 40 years of educational and leader training in higher education and has facilitated seminars in churches and conventions.

James Poitras has a BEd from the University of New Brunswick, a BA in Biblical Studies from Indiana Bible College, and is actively pursuing a MA in Ministerial Studies (Education Concentration) from Global University. Additionally he has attended the United Pentecostal Church Bible Institute. His wife, Linda, is also an educator with a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University. Both have been extensively involved in missions and Bible school administration for more than twenty-eight years.
Brother Poitras served as the President of the African Center of Theological Studies and Director of Christian Education for UPCI Ghana. He coordinated Africa’s regional theological education program for five years until February 2007 when he was asked to serve as the Coordinator of the Global Association of Theological Studies. Brother Poitras is the founder of Portable Bible Schools International and has authored its curriculum in four levels entitled Acts: God’s Training Manual for Today’s Church. This two hundred lesson series is widely used and translated into multiple languages. Literally thousands of students have studied under this program. He is a prolific writer, especially in the realm of curriculum and recently completed his ninth book entitled Growing Leaders. Bro. and Sis. Tim Pruitt served as Associate Missionaries to the Leeward Islands, working on the islands of St. Croix, St. Thomas and Nevis. Bro. Pruitt has preaching and teaching experience in the United States, Caribbean, Europe and Central America. He is a participant with Advanced Global Educators (AGE), a training arm of Global Missions, United Pentecostal Church International. He also serves a program management consultant for the Global Association of Theological Studies (GATS) program.
Professionally, Bro. Pruitt has 28 years experience as an engineer, project manager, and project management consultant. He has managed engineering, manufacturing, research, and information technology projects. Bro. Pruitt has an MBA, currently working as a program performance analyst in the aerospace industry. He is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, B.S.,
Jackson College of Ministries, Missions, and
University of Indianapolis, MBA.
Bro. Pruitt conducts faculty certification training for GATS, and workshops and seminars focused on spiritual leadership and practical skills for Apostolics. Bro. David Reynolds grew up as a missionary kid in Jamaica. He then went on to Conquerors Bible College, Cascade College (BA, Science Teaching), Portland State University (MST, Science), and University of Oregon (2 Year Post Graduate Work). Through his training, he received the Oregon Principal's Certification in Leadership and the Oregon Superintendent's Certification in Administration. He has 10 years experience in teaching Science and 20 years experience as a principal.
He is also an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International, current member of Church School Curriculum Committee, and current member of 'Points of Refuge'. Through the GTI Missions Training, he has traveled and taught in 37 countries, authored a monthly family page in the Oregon Accent for 20 years, and a family column in the Pentecostal Herald. In the past, he has held the position of Director of NW Christian Schools (ACTS) and Director of Oregon Sunday Schools.
Bro. Reynolds enjoys writing and has authored three books on teaching and classroom management and three books on parenting and marriage and is currently working on several books on Family Relationships.

Randy and Anita's lives, both in and out of ministry, have been defined by teaching. Currently, they pastor New Life UPC Church in Hardin, MT. They took the church in 1996 with a handful of people, and are now overseeing a thriving multicultural church with outreaches in three additional communities on the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservations.
Randy’s teaching experience outside the church includes being a POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified instructor in the state of Wyoming while employed by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office from 1987 to 1996. He also taught numerous classes as part of their Officer Training Program, as well as supervising the program. Upon leaving the Sheriff's Office he was hired by the Department of Justice, National Institute of Corrections, as a consultant, and taught OJC at their academy in Longmont, CO from 1996 to 2001. Randy graduated from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in 1988 with top honors. In addition to the academy, he received over 1000 hours of training in his capacity as a supervisor in the Sheriff’s Office. He also taught Corrections classes as an adjunct professor at the Billings Business College.
Randy’s teaching experience in the church started shortly after his conversion in 1980 as he soon began to teach Home Bible Studies to his fellow airmen in the U.S. Air Force. Then it was Sunday School classes, Youth Services, and Children’s Ministry. He received his Associates Degree from Christian Life College in Stockton and was installed as Assistant Pastor in Gillette, WY, in 1993. As Senior Pastor in Hardin, MT, in addition to normal teaching and preaching, he teaches Excell Bible College classes. Randy has served on the Youth, Sunday School, Growth Fund, and Home Missions Boards. He was the RMD District Secretary from 2004-2012. He currently serves as the District Global Missions Director.
Together, Randy and Anita have developed and taught many seminars including Sunday School Teacher Training, Super Church Development, Starting and Maintaining Bible Quizzing Ministry, and Marriage and Family Life.
Anita's teaching experience outside the church includes home-schooling their three sons from K-12th grades. All three went on to graduate from college and are involved in ministry. For the past fifteen years Anita has taught in the Hardin Public School’s Adult Education Program preparing students for the GED Test. She has seen hundreds pass and receive their GED. She is currently the director of the program.
Anita’s teaching experience in the church includes teaching every level of Sunday School and coaching Junior and Senior Bible Quiz Teams, repeatedly taking teams to nationals. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Liberal Studies with minors in both Philosophy and Economics from Eastern Oregon University. |

Galen Thompson has a diverse background in ministry, business management and human learning and development. He received a BA of Apostolic Studies from the Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, Minnesota, has completed graduate work in English Bible at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and has received his Trainer’s Certificates from Metropolitan Training Institute and The Bob Pike Group, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Galen is a member of Global Training Institute since 2001.
Galen serves as co-pastor of Greater Life Tabernacle, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is founder and President of The College of Practical Theology, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He and his wife, Ann, pioneered two United Pentecostal Churches. Together, they form a dynamic teaching team with a passion for apostolic ministry. Ann energetically shares in Galen’s global teaching ministry and is an effective conference speaker. Together they also present Marriage/Family-Life Seminars. Galen and Ann both taught at the Apostolic Bible Institute, St. Paul, Minnesota and together served as Global Training Institute consultants to the Global Education Committee of UPCI Global Missions for five years. Additionally, Ann has served the Ladies Ministries of the Minnesota District of the United Pentecostal Church for fifteen years. Their three adult children are all involved in ministry.
Galen, as operations manager, led a retail business through a turnabout, twice received the “President’s Award of Excellence,” and was appointed to Corporate Trainer and Consultant. He was selected by the Center of Business and Industry of South Central College, Mankato, Minnesota, to develop and facilitate employee and leadership development curricula for open enrollment and off-site corporate training. Galen, as an independent consultant, customizes leadership-development courses and facilitates strategic planning retreats, both in the secular and religious arenas. The experience blend of ministry, business management, human development and education provides a unique and authentic basis out of which to speak and lead.
The Thompson’s zeal for people is immediately evident.
